Many years ago my son was confined to the hospital due to a birth defect. Daily my wife and I would drive after work and stay with our son until the staff would force us to leave. With guilt we would wait until we could return to be with our son. One day the staff approached me and told me that they wanted us to leave town for a weekend. This was crazy but I followed the doctors orders as they told me to pack our bags the day before, rent a car, buy a audio tape of a favorite artist but not with any songs we already had, pack a picric basket and drive by after work and pickup my wife and leave for a place we have never been.
As I said this was crazy in my mind but I carried out the doctor's orders as they said. We left town and had driven almost two hours before I realized we were not driving to the hospital to be with our son. At that time I come to understand what "Triggers" are. They are the little things that force our mind into a set pattern. If I had driven my own car it would have auto piloted to the hospital. If I had been playing my favorite radio station it would had triggered my mind of what time it was and we need to return to be with our son.
We all have positive and negative triggers in our lives and if we are to ever be able to have that renewed mind we must get away from the negative triggers for our healing. God impressed me that the remoteness of West Texas was ideal for that person who needs a "Second Chance" in life to be able to focus without all the negative trigers and who only needed a helping hand to become what God invisioned. The Global Vision
In the spirit of true discipling is "Leadership by Example" and the Abraham Center is built as an example for the Isaac (Riverside, CA) and Jacob (Houston, TX) Centers. These centers are examples and training centers for our twelve overseas centers that are all named after the tribes of Judah. Much like a stone dropped in still water they ripple out from the centers. Each center will train people in their regional languages as an example; Oslo, Norway will do training in Norwegian, Russian, Polish, German and English to support the people and countries surrounding it.
